Headliner: Cimafunk
Cimafunk is redefining what the planet understands as Cuban music. The AfroCuban rockstar has started a movement of converting millions of people to the religion of groove, one live show at a time.
Cimafunk has electrified global audiences on massive stages and worldwide temples of music, making a name for himself as one of the great showmen of today. From New Orleans Jazz Festival and Lollapalooza Chile to becoming the first Cuban-born artist to play Coachella.
Cimafunk is a must-see act with energetic intensity that unites Afro-Cuban rhythms and African American funk. Grammy.com calls him a “funkadelic force to be reckoned with.”
He’s now a regular performer at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and leads an annual New Orleans – Cuba festival and cultural exchange program, Getting Funky in Havana, that has brought New Orleans top artists and musicians to Cuba to perform for the Cuban people and work in the schools.
Opener: The Culture Society Orchestra
The Culture Society is a Houston-based arts organization producing immersive Urban Orchestra and Art Exhibition experiences. Founded by curator and multidisciplinary artist Andrea Hardges Pitts, the organization bridges classical music, contemporary culture, and community—inviting new audiences into orchestral spaces through music and art they already know and love.
At its core, The Culture Society believes hip-hop is one of the most influential cultural movements of the last several decades, deserving of exploration through live instrumentation and visual expression. Each experience blends a chamber-style orchestra, jazz-influenced soloists, a DJ, and contemporary arrangements alongside curated artwork to transform iconic rap and R&B; music into performances that feel both familiar and entirely new.
The ensemble is made up of professional musicians drawn from orchestral, jazz, and contemporary performance backgrounds, creating concerts that feature virtuosic solos, dynamic reinterpretations, and moments of audience participation. Guests are encouraged to sing along, respond, and engage—resulting in performances that feel communal, celebratory, and emotionally resonant.
