Event Planning

Discovery Green’s location in the heart of downtown, as well as its beautifully maintained landscape, makes it a much sought-after outdoor venue for events.

 From company picnics, fundraisers and product launches to concerts, festivals, birthday parties and weddings, the Discovery Green campus has the perfect spot for any event from 20 people to 20,000.

If you are looking to hold a small gathering such as a child’s birthday, a family reunion, or other such celebration. Please visit the H-E-B Celebration page for more information and to submit a reservation. This space is best to accommodate 20 people.

For all other events, please read through the event guide which answers many questions you may have including basic fees and capacity for different areas of the park. Submit an application here to start the application process.

NOTE

Submitting an event application is the best way to get in touch with the team who can answer any of your questions. Once your application is received, the appropriate staff member will respond usually within one week to answer your questions and obtain the information necessary to provide you with a full quote for your event.

Ten Steps to a Perfect Event

We Review.

Your completed Event Application is reviewed by Discovery Green's Programming and Operations teams.

We Respond.

We contact you with either: -Questions to obtain further clarification; or -Quote outlining your expenses (per Appendix A.)

You Reply.

You either: -Adjust your plans to fulfill Discovery Green requirements; or -Sign and return your Quote.

We Prepare.

We generate and send a full Contract to you.

You reply.

You send us a signed contract and payment.

We Reserve.

Upon receiving your signed contract and payment, we secure your date and space.

You Have a Great Event!

The specifics outlined in the signed contract are your blueprint for a great event.

We Refund.

If you fulfilled your contract, and no damages were incurred, your security deposit is refunded in full.

Planning a special occasion? Grove Events serves as the park’s preferred caterer to Discovery Green. Multiple private spaces inside The Grove and the Lake House as well as settings inside the park are available for an intimate dinner of 12 or a spectacular experience for parties up to 3,000.
