Celebrate & remember
Sunday, November 1
3 – 7 pm
Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican holiday to honor and remember deceased loved ones. Bring a photo or keepsake* to add to a stunning community ofrenda created by Houston-artist Angel Quesada. Enjoy a Catrin y Catrinas Parade and costume contest as well as traditional performances, live music, food, crafts and vendors. The night ends with La Musical Ofrenda, a high-energy tribute concert to some of Houston’s finest musicians and legendary artists from across Texas.
*Note: Please bring copies. We value your keepsakes and do not encourage bringing originals as we cannot guarantee their return to you.

Sarofim Picnic Lawn
The Sarofim Picnic Lawn is a wide-open lawn space that is perfect for more than just a picnic. The Lawn is near the John P. McGovern Playground, the Mist Tree, and the Kinder Large Dog and the Harriet and Joe Foster Dog Runs, making it a perfect place for family get-togethers, such as reunions or birthday parties. The Lawn can also accommodate small private corporate events or client receptions. The Lawn has two permanent picnic tables, and borders the Andrea and Bill White Promenade.
