Special Skaters at The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green

Non-motorized wheelchairs are always allowed on the rink, but Special Skaters Days gives those with special needs the opportunity to enjoy the rink with a smaller crowd and their families right by their side. Best of all – special skaters skate or roll for free! Skate guardians and family members will need to purchase a ticket. Ticket booth opens at 8:30 am.
ACTIVITY: The rink will have fewer skaters than during normal operating hours.
SAFETY: You may want to bring your own helmet.
NOISE: Enjoy kid and autism-friendly music at a volume suitable for sensitive listeners.
PARKING: Handicap parking available in the parking garage. Metered parking is free for vehicles with valid disability plates or placard. (Time limits apply.) Skater drop off recommended at the corner of McKinney and Crawford.

Christmas & New Year’s Day: 1-7 pm
*HISD school holidays include: Nov. 21-25; Dec. 22-30; Jan. 2-6 & 16
On Dec. 18 and Jan. 15 the rink will close to the public at 5 pm. The last ticket sales are at 3:30 pm
