Built by legendary art car artist, Rebecca Bass, Rocket Dog is Discovery Green’s official mascot. Bass along with her students created Rocket Dog, an “art cart” in 2007 to celebrate the opening of Discovery Green. The cart is filled with lawn games such as bocce ball, horseshoes, and more for patrons to borrow while visiting the park. An ID is needed to borrow games and will be returned to you when the borrowed games are returned.

Andrea and Bill White Promenade
The Andrea and Bill White Promenade is a wide granite walkway that bisects the park, and serves as the local “market place” of Discovery Green®. It also serves as a space for temporary art exhibitions and other activities. A section of the Promenade is lined with sixteen 10′ x 20′ canopy tents, with additional permanent anchors in the pavement available for rent.
