Descriptions:
Dale Carnegie Exploring Energy: Think you have what it takes to be a geologist? Come help us find the mineral deposits or see how quickly you can match up rocks and minerals. When you’re done, pick out and paint your own kindness rocks.
Compudopt: Join the Steam Team and explore augmented reality or learn basic coding.
Switch Energy: Build and test play-doh electric circuits to understand how electricity flows. Then build your own windmill using recycled materials!
EOG IoT Demo: It takes many different engineering disciplines to get oil and gas out of the ground. Come enjoy a small water injection demonstration that will teach how all parts of engineering – from subsurface to fluid dynamics to mechanical engineering – work with the IoT and software to bring oil and gas to you.
Core Labs: Come by and learn about the earth’s porosity and see if you have what it takes to complete a rock matching game.
Boy Scouts – Sam Houston Area Council: Ever wonder how rockets work? Or how a butterfly glides through the air? Or maybe how a caterpillar makes its way across the ground? Come by and learn about these STEM principles through activities like a balloon rocket or make your own flying butterfly or moving caterpillar!
Breakthrough Houston: Come learn how you can actually grow seeds in a plastic bag, then stay a while and make your own dinosaur to bring home.
EOG Resources: After you’ve checked out all the activities at this year’s Discovery Green FUNomenal Spring Break camp, come back to the EOG tent to claim your prize!
