Looking for free family entertainment during Thanksgiving Break? Save the date for Prelude Music Foundation’s Family Concert at Discovery Green!
Children and their parents and caregivers are invited to sing and dance to live music performed by Houston’s top musicians. PMF founders Ana Treviño-Godfrey and Jonathan Godfrey and Prelude Music Foundation’s music specialists will perform a joyful, interactive 45-minute sing-along concert for families. Face painters and balloon artists will round out the fun. Plus you can expect premium swag: free board games will be given away while supplies last.
During the school year, PMF serves PreK and Kindergarten students at more than 25 sites including 9 HISD schools in underserved communities as well as Ronald McDonald House Houston and Casa de Esperanza de los Niños. Over the past 12 years, PMF has provided music education to more than 20,000 young children.
PMF classes use Music Together®, a research-based music curriculum to students, transforming their lives by helping build their cognitive, academic, musical and socio-emotional skills.
