Deep in the Heart: A Texas Music Series with EZ Band with Bombón 

Celebrate the sounds of the Lone Star State during Discovery Green’s new Deep in the Heart Concert Series, a free weekly concert series showcasing the best of Texas artists. Spanning Americana, country, Tejano, indie rock, blues, folk and roots music, the series highlights the incredible depth and diversity of Texas musicians while creating a vibrant community gathering in the heart of downtown. 

EZ Band  

EZ Band’s current lineup consists of Jaime as the lead vocalist, producer, and leader of the band; Jaime’s dad Agustin providing vocals for classic Norteño songs; Aldo, the skilled accordion player; Dulce, the female vocalist; Juan, also known as Johnny, on electric guitar; Rigo, the drummer; Jesse, the conga player and hype man; and Lalo on bass, who has been an integral part of the band for over 20 years. 

Known for creating Spanglish renditions of timeless songs, EZ Band bridges linguistic and cultural divides with every performance. Their innovative adaptations resonate with Spanish and English speakers alike, blending nostalgia with a refreshing twist. From viral covers to original compositions, EZ Band captivates fans worldwide, bringing people together one Spanglish song at a time. 

Bombón 

Bombón is a DJ collective and music group based in Houston, Texas, with members spanning the nation. Celebrated for their vibrant performances and innovative fusion of Latin-inspired sounds, they were recently selected to create the official FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston song.

Formed in 2010 by a group of pioneering DJs, Bombón celebrates Latin music and culture by blending genres like cumbia and Houston rap, and amplifying their signature “screwmbia” sound.
