Toddler Tuesdays is a program that provides story time, free entertainment and activities especially for toddlers. Events include toddler soft play equipment, crafts and much more!

Meet Daniel Tiger! Enjoy story time, crafts station, a neighbor village, fun photo opportunities, music by Uncle Jumbo, Toddler Town and more! The event is produced in partnership with Houston Public Media and Fred Rogers Productions and will include activities to help children learn about the importance of community, giving back and being a caring neighbor! Tuesday, March 31: Playground Celebration
Main Book: Tangled: A Story About Shapes, Author: Anne Miranda
From award-winning author Anne Miranda comes a rollicking rhyming story about an unruly gang of sixteen geometric shapes who get tangled in the neighborhood jungle gym until their friend comes to their rescue and order is restored

2nd book: Daniel Goes to the Playground, Author: Becky Friedman
Daniel and his friends are playing circus at the playground! But when Daniel performs his tiger-tastic juggling act, Mom and Dad are too busy with his baby sister Margaret to watch. Mom teaches Daniel that when a baby makes things different, he can find a way to make things fun. Will Daniel find a way to include Margaret in his circus act?

Tuesday, April 7: The World's First Tooth Fairy... Ever
Main Book: The World's First Tooth Fairy... Ever, Author: Zane Carruth
Join Abella, a precocious little fairy on her journey through Tulip Hollow with her friend Darcie. Abella finally has the chance to venture out of the castle and fly to a party with Darcie when she is snatched by a big old bee and flown out of Tulip Hollow.

2nd book: Daniel Goes to the Dentist, Author: Alexandra Cassel Schwartz
Daniel Tiger is a little nervous about visiting the dentist, Dr. Plat. Mom Tiger explains that when you do something new, like going to the dentist, you should talk about what’s going to happen, and Dr. Plat does just that! During his checkup, as Daniel gets his teeth brushed, checked, and polished, Dr. Plat explains what she’s doing each step of the way so Daniel feels more comfortable.

Tuesday, April 14: Let's Visit the Library
Main Book: Lola at the Library, Author: Anna McQuinn,
Learn about the library, checking out books, and story time with Lola. Every Tuesday Lola and her mommy go to the library. Lola meets her friends there. They share books and don't have to be quiet all the time. The nice librarian tells stories. There is a big machine that buzzes Lola's books in and out, and she can take any books she wants home with her. Lola and her mommy always stop for a treat on the way home. No wonder Lola loves the library.

Daniel Tiger and Prince Wednesday are so excited for story time at the library! But first they have to lean how to be calm and quiet. Can they calm down before story time starts?

Tuesday, April 21: Friendly Fun

Daniel and Miss Elaina are visiting Prince Wednesday’s castle for a play date. When they arrive they are so excited to meet a new friend—Prince Wednesday’s cousin, Chrissie! Daniel has so much fun playing with his new friend! Then he notices that Chrissie wears braces on her legs to help her walk. Even though Chrissie may walk differently than Daniel, she loves the color red and playing pretend just as much as he does! Daniel is thrilled to make a wonderful new friend!

Tuesday, April 28: School is So Cool

School is So Cool is the perfect book for young children starting school for the first time. Simple rhymes and colorful illustrations show everything little ones will do in the classroom while learning, making friends, and playing. A fun and educational reading for preschool and kindergarten students who may be wondering what school is all about.

2nd book: Daniel goes to School, Author: Becky Friedman
Daniel Tiger is excited to go to school, but he’s not happy that his dad can’t stay at school with him. Daniel learns that “grown-ups come back” and has lots of fun with his teacher and classmates in this sweet 8x8 storybook that will ring true for children just starting school.

Story time begins promptly at 10:30 am, please plan to arrive early. Due to limited space, school/daycare groups are not permitted.
