UPDATED: Blanc on the Green is now House of Cards CAR-nival Presented by Bracewell!
You are invited to a one-of-a-kind, never been done in Houston event: House of Cards CAR-nival presented by Bracewell.

The Discovery Green Conservancy, co-chairs Matthew Burrus and Michael Pearce, Shavonnah Roberts Schreiber and Joe Schreiber, and honorary chairs Linda and Mark Evans, are excited about this event as a replacement for the previous planned Blanc on the Green party.

The CAR-nival will have everything you’ve come to expect from Discovery Green: Innovative performances, dazzling spectacles and immersive public art combined with sweet treats you can enjoy from the comfort and safety of your own car.

This special benefit fundraiser will give you the first glance at House of Cards presented by Bracewell. Ticket holders will be able to drive their cars past roaming performers, photo opportunities and most importantly, through Discovery Green and past the art installation.

$100 = one car pass, plus a dessert gift bag for one (Limited number of tickets available.)
$300 = one car pass, plus a dessert gift bag for one with a bottle of wine
$500 = one car pass, plus two dessert gift bags and two bottles of wine

The installation is a public-art piece by Israel-based design studio OGE Group consisting of 126 oversized playing cards, each of which features a unique piece of artwork. During the day, the cards’ crisp white lines and colorful images will dazzle. At night, the structure will be illuminated and animated to create the illusion of the house of cards rising, collapsing and being rebuilt.

Be a part of the art! During the course of the evening attendees will drive by an artist creating a commemorative mural live. For an additional $500 you can have your name added to the wall!

Revenue from the event will support the Discovery Green Conservancy, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that cares for the 12-acre park and provides cultural, educational and FUN programming for FREE to all of Houston.

Desserts and beverages donated by: The Chocolate Bar, Dessert Gallery, Eureka Heights, Grotto Downtown, The Grove Houston, Michael’s Cookie Jar, Phoenicia Specialty Foods and Second Servings.

Special thanks to The CKP Group.
