Please be aware of some guidelines for your visit to the park. Discovery Green is a safe and comfortable place for everyone because of our Park Rules.
You are welcome:
- To bring your lawn chairs
- To bring coolers onto the park grounds
Park Guidelines prohibit:
- Glass bottles or containers
- Alcohol, beer or wine brought onto the park grounds
- Weapons or firearms
- Video recording or flash photography during performances
- Distribution of literature or materials

Photography and Video
People are welcome to take photographs or video at Discovery Green for personal use provided their activity does not restrict public use of an area of the park.
Members of the news media are also welcome to photograph or take video for news coverage.
A permit is required if:
- There is a commercial purpose for the photography, film or video. For example, photographs that are sold for publication, feature or commercial film for which tickets are sold or video is to be used in corporate training films. This also includes engagement, wedding, quincenera & family photography.
- The photography, film or video requires exclusive use of an area in the park - permit rate increases depending on location/time. For example, if you wish to have a wedding photograph taken in front of the fountain, and you do not want members of the general public to appear in the photograph.
