NOW CLOSED: The Changing Faces of Houston
Hundreds of Houstonians joined Dr. Stephen Klineberg of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research to celebrate our city as he presented the results of the 2013 Houston Area Survey on Friday, April 26, 21013.

The evening, emceed by Houston Public Media’s Ernie Manouse and KPRC Local 2’s Khambrel Marshall, featured live performances by the Tontons, gospel masters Endurance, KIPP Generation Singers, Mariachi Hermosura and Anjali School of Indian Dance.  

Iconic Houstonians Mayor Parker, Hugo Ortega, Jacqueline Martin, Mike Feinberg, Gordon Quan and Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza offered testimonies during the evening of community celebration. Guests were treated to flag-making workshops by local artist Rebecca Bass and met community partners including Literacy Advance of Houston and Ensemble Theater.
